What are few activities you can do with kids spell ready at a restaurant?
Recently, I was unconscious with my kids (6, 5, and 3 years old) at the mall and we distinct to have a sit-down repast at California Pizza Kitchen. Luckily, my wife and I have created many easy rules ready to make sure our kids are (relatively) well-behaved some time we consume out as a family.
1. Have Any "Eating place Rules"
Before entering, we covered our "Eating house Rules" — No pushing, yelling, or shooting paper off of the straws, and then we'll order sweet. (Beaver State something to it worldwide effect.)
2. Don River't Go Anywhere That Doesn't Make Crayons Available
They were incredibly busy. We were seated rightfulness forth, but things were pretty stiff-backed up. Give thanks God they give us crayons and handy-dandy menus with touch base-the-dots, mazes, and another things to color that captured the kids' undivided attending.

3 .Take in A Question And Answer Game Ready To Go
While waiting for our food, and running low connected activities on the josh menu, we played a Query & Answer game. The question to the kids: "What are the first 5 rides you want to go on the next meter we attend Disneyland?" This is my favorite — they are excited about their answers, we (kind of) rag practice attractive turns, and my kids could be asked this question every time of day, on the time of day, and they'd shut up be excited to tell you their answers.
4. Be Fix To Get Inventive
Aft a round of lemonades, and some french bread, there was the usual bathroom break (nothing short of an Everest Expedition if you'atomic number 75 traveling with 3 kids at a eating house) — and so we started to reach the yellow light stage. You know, when tired and wishful kids start to consider you like you're a jailor holding them captive for overly bimestrial.
So we decided to keep with the Disneyland trend. I pulled out what was leftist of one of the nestlin menus and drew a map. Not just any map, but a Disneyland map. My kids love ii things: Disneyland and Treasure Maps. I asked them:"If this is where Main Street is, and this is where the Castling is, past where on this map is Thunder Mountain Railway line?"
By the time our pizzas showed up, the kids were sol engrossed in the map spirited that it didn't even register that it was time to eat on.

Tired all, this could have easily been avoided with 3 iPads, or a movie in the railcar and a drive-thru dinner party. But I think, as a parent, the easy way out is the path to regret. Entirely of those Easy Button bailouts testament wash together, every hour on the iPad cone of silence will immix into the former — and you'll wonder where the time went.
We got to have dinner together. IT took hard work, and some yeasty conversation, but we did it… and they complete got their dessert.
